He would go on to make an initial debut in the series in 1991, but nobody could have ever expected that this little driver from Germany would go onto become a seven-time champion between the years 1994 and 2004.

Schumacher’s Championship Status

It is quite a big deal to win a single championship in Formula 1 racing, but to go on and win seven championships in less than a decade, that is an accomplishment that only a few drivers in the motorsports world can dream of. Alongside his championships, Schumacher would also go on to compete in over 300 different Formula 1 races. He also managed to finish on the podium in more than half of them. His career was filled with pole positions and victories, but his consistency is what really convinced people that he was the real deal in Formula 1 racing. While Schumacher did win two back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995, he really became popular after winning five consecutive championships from 2000 through 2004. Nobody could have ever expected the German driver would go on to have such an impressive career in Formula 1 racing. His presence and experience in the motorsports world certainly changed Formula 1 forever.

Summarizing Schumacher’s Career

Schumacher made his first Formula 1 start in 1991 at the Belgian Grand Prix. He qualified seventh but had to retire from the race early because of faulty equipment on his racing vehicle. Exactly one year later, Schumacher returned to the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix and qualified with an impressive third position. He would claim his first victory in Formula 1 in 1992 at this race by winning over his competition by 36 seconds.

After racing competitively for more than two decades, Schumacher decided to call it quits after the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix. He would start 14th in his Mercedes and went on to drive forward in the race to eventually finish a respectable 7th. This short post covers nearly two decades of competition from the German driver Schumacher. Perhaps the most impressive thing about his talent was his ability to connect with people in the garage area. His uplifting attitude and positive outlook placed him in a position to win more Formula 1 championships than anyone else in the world.

Introduction Michael Schumacher might have been one of the greatest to ever compete in the Formula 1 racing series.
