The nineties are not known for giving us the best cars of all time. Most people don’t even remember cars from that era. But here’s a list of cars from the nineties that are actually pretty amazing!

Lamborghini Diablo – 1990

The Lamborghini Diablo was a good start for cars in the nineties. With a top speed of 200 mph (320 km/h), it was seriously quick. The distinctive design has formed the basis of the design we see on all Lamborghini’s nowadays, and if you ask us, that is a good thing!

Mazda RX-7 (FD) – 1993

The RX-7 was introduced in 1978, but many people say that Mazda has made their best version of it in the early nineties. Its handling is amazing and looks great!

Saab 900 (New Generation) – 1994

The ‘New Generation’ Saab 900, which was released in 1994 has won over 20 prizes and awards, and it deserves all of them. From design prizes to technology prizes, this car has won them. It came in various forms, so it didn’t matter if you were a family man, business owner or Sunday driver, Saab had a 900 just for you!

Ferrari F50 – 1995

Ferrari had set the bar sky-high after the beloved F40. But they managed to deliver a great looking car with fantastic performance. The mid-engined sports car with its removable hardtop has become a true classic.

Jaguar XJ (X300) – 1994

The Jaguar X300 was the first of the XJ series that was produced entirely under Ford ownership. The car was made to be more reliable than its predecessors, and that is the reason why a relatively large amount of X300’s are still on the road today.

Porsche 911 GT3 – 1999

The Porsche 911 is a true classic, and Porsche is known for creating a lot of different variations. In 1973 they started producing high-performance models with the 911 Carrera RS. But in 1999 this evolved to the 911 GT3 which is the quickest 911 and is a true race car for on the road.

Nissan Skyline R33 – 1993

The Nissan Skyline R33 (1993) is a very popular car amongst youngsters. The base of the car is already great, and it looks terrific, but they often modify it to make it even ‘better.’ The Skyline is not only a great car to drive; it is also very reliable.

Audi TT – 1998

The Audi TT is a nice round fellow. The famous little spoiler on the rear end is integrated to keep the car on the road on high speeds, and the car has become a classic Audi. The car is quick, is fun to drive, and is also not even that expensive. This made the car an immediate fan favorite!

Lotus Elise – 1996

This 1598 lb (725 kg) car offers a great experience to the driver! It is incredibly fun to drive and also looks pretty amazing. Nowadays it is still a very popular car, and the first Tesla Roadster was based on the Lotus Elise, which is enough reason to love this cute British racer.

Honda NSX – 1990

The Honda NSX (Acura NSX in the USA) is a fantastic car with its 3.0 L V6 engine. The styling is inspired by an F-16 fighter jet and input from Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna. The car is seen as legendary by car enthusiasts and might be the best car the 90’s have given us!
