German engineering is a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to cars. It makes perfect sense because Germany gets the credit for inventing automobiles. Some of the most astounding vehicles of our time have come from this country, and here are the ten most popular of their creations.

1. BMW 507

The BMW 507 was a superb vehicle they produced from 1956-1959. While the car is no longer in production, it was the automobile that was the turning point in the style of cars made. It’s no doubt this alluring beauty is a piece of history.

2. Volkswagen Beetle

No car on the planet was more of a social icon than the Volkswagen Beetle. These cars were produced just shy of six decades, and they hardly changed their looks during that period. The high number of years these cars were created is a hard record to beat, and no other vehicle has yet to overturn it. Many say no other vehicle will break such an iconic run.

3. Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 is the most popular sports car in America. It has received constant updates in its 50-year run. It came on the scene in 1963 by the Stuttgart-based manufacturing company. It’s still one of the hottest rides around.

4. Mercedes-Benz-560SEL

The Mercedes-Benz-560SEL rolled out to dealerships around the world in 1970. Another production in Stuttgart, Germany, the Daimler-Benz company, gets the recognition for this beauty. They wanted this automobile to be a high-performance upgrade from their popular sedan models, and they were successful.

5. Audi R8

The Audi R8 is a nice pairing of glamorous and extravagance that still has a sporty look. Audi brought this car on the market in 2006, and the two-seater style struck a chord with consumers.

6. Porsche 917

For years, Porsche has been constructing iconic sports cars that countless fanatics adore. Enthusiasts feel this is possibly one of the trendiest vehicles that have ever been made and with good reason.

7. BMW 2002

BMW is synonymous with luxury. The excellent stylings of this model show why this car company is an engineering lead in the industry. This compact executive car was made from 1966-1977, it was also dubbed the 02 series.

8. RUF CTR Yellowbird

Some say this is one of the best high-performance sports cars to ever come out of Germany. The model was iconic because it was the first vehicle that could beat the 200-mph speed range of the Ferrari F40, which it does by more than 40 mph.

9. BMW M5

Even Though BMW is famous for its extravagant vehicles, individuals should know that they also created marathon automobiles. The and the BMW M5 is proof of their skill diversity. Their dedication to alter and provide vehicles for all markets leads them to this popular design.

10. Audi Quattro

Similar to BMW, Audi is famous for its extravagant vehicles too. One of the best sports cars they ever made was the Quattro series. It was first introduced in 1980, and it was made to be a rally car. This automobile had a short but humble run from 1980 -1991.
